Innovators - Cambridge, Massachusetts
In 2012, amid a personally challenging time, I sought a return to the kind of portrait work that had energized me earlier in my career, when I photographed on assignment for magazines. For two years, I partnered with Heidi Legg to photograph the subjects she interviewed for the launch of TheEditorial.com. Over the course of the project, I created around 40 portraits, documenting a cross-section of innovators in technology, media, science, art, and design. Set in Cambridge, Massachusetts—a hub of higher education and home to Harvard and MIT—these images reflect the intellectual and creative energy of a uniquely vibrant city.
